The Fox River has been our Most Popular Hunting Knife design since its introduction in 2004. The Fox River is a hunter but its Crossover to other outdoor tasks has added to its popularity.
The Change to an Upgraded Steel enhances the Field use of the knife by increasing the edge retention of the knife. Jason at DLT (Who actually ordered this run) Asked Mike to enhance the ergonomics of the knife and make it almost like a totally new model in the Professional Series.
We extended the Handle Slabs, like we do on the New England Version that was originally ordered by Kevin Estella of Estella Wilderness Learning Center. We then Used Corby bolts in the Handle Slabs and also Shot a Tube through the Lanyard Hole. These longer Handle Slabs were then Sculptured in the same style we use on the Aurora and Bravo-1. These Changes really did make the 3V Fox River look and feel like a New Model.
